The Rivened. The Grey Elves. The First of the Fey. Graceful wizards, warriors at home only in the Eldritch twilight of the Feywild. Creatures of magic with strong ties to nature, eladrin live in cities in the twilight realm of the Feywild. Once their cities were close enough to be perpetually in the Feywild and in the Material Plane, but no longer. The Rivening of the Fey leaves the Eladrin a scarred but proud race, the connections to their home severed and tenuous at best.

Physical Qualities
Eladrin are of human height. They are slim, and even the strongest simply look athletic rather than muscle-bound. They have the same range of complexions as humans, though they are more often fair than dark. Their straight, fine hair is often white, silver, or pale gold, and they wear it long and loose. Their ears are long and pointed, and their eyes are pearly and opalescent orbs of vibrant blue, violet, or green, lacking pupils. Eladrin can’t grow facial hair and have little
body hair.

Eladrin children grow much as human children do, but their aging process slows to a crawl when they reach maturity. They enjoy youth and health for most of their lives and don’t begin to feel the effects of age until the middle of their third century. Most live for over 300 years, and even at the end they suffer few of the infirmities of old age.

Ability Scores: +2 Dexterity, +2 Intelligence, -2 Wisdom. Eladrin’s minds have been corrupted and damaged by the Rivening and their perception is skewed, but they retain their magical abilities.

Languages: Common, Saelaan. Eladrin with high Intelligence bonuses may learn Celestial, Draconic, Goblin, Gnome, Goblin, Sylvan, and Abyssal.

Eternal Grudge: Some Eladrin – and in increasing numbers – grow up as isolationist communities where generations-old slights and quarrels linger as eternal blood feuds. They receive a +1 bonus on attack rolls against humanoids of the dwarf and goblin subtypes due to special training against these hated foes.

Dreamspeaker: Eladrin have the ability to tap into the power of sleep, dreams, and prescient reverie. Eladrin this racial trait add +1 to saving throw DCs for spells of the divination school and sleep effects they cast. In addition elves with a Charisma of 15 or higher may use Dream once
per day as a spell-like ability (caster level is equal to the elf ’s character level).

Academic: Eladrin boast great populations in universities such as the Academae or Salamanca, and many are classically trained in magic and the arts. Eladrin have a +2 racial bonus on Knowledge (Arcana) checks and Knowledge (History) checks.

Weapon Familiarity: Eladrin are proficient with longbows (including composite longbows), longswords, rapiers, and shortbows (including composite shortbows), and treat any weapon with the word “elven” or “eladrin” or anything elf-like in its name as a martial weapon.

Rivened: Eladrin, like all other races, were affected deeply by the Rivening of the Fey that sundered many connections to the Feywild. Untold numbers of Eladrin lost their magical ability or divine connections, and many simply went insane. I definitely want some sort of negative penalty but I just can’t figure out what it will be, maybe just something to charisma-based checks.

Weapon Familiarity: You are proficient with daggers and rapiers and treat any weapon with the word elven in its name as a martial weapon.
